Who is the greatest wrestler of all time? That question has been discussed nearly as long as the form of entertainment has been around. There really is no definitive answer to it, some would say, Bruno Sammartino, others may say Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Harley Race are all names that are at the top of the list when it comes to answering the question of who is the greatest. One of the things that makes it such a point of conversation is how do you measure greatness in a scripted form of entertainment? It’s not like in real sports where generally speaking stats and championships build a case for who the best is and even then, fans will defend their favorites and make a case for who they believe are the best. Michael Jordan or LeBron James? Muhammad Ali or Floyd Mayweather? Tom Brady or Joe Montana? As you can see, even in real, competitive sports the topic of the greatest of all time is a hot debate. Today, I’m going to make my case for why I feel, Terry Funk is at least in the conversation for the greatest wrestler of all time.
